British government to express regret over second Iraqi arms dossier
The Observer reports that the British government will admit that the second dossier on Iraq's WMDs was flawed.I don't know if the authors were aware of it, but there was a part of the article that made me think of Reagan, back when he was stuck in a tough situation also involving weapons, but Iran and the Contras instead of Iraq:
If Blair is questioned on the issue, he will concede that mistakes were made.Love that passive voice - why name people who should be held accountable if you don't have to? It would be hilarious if Blair actually says something like that.
