Sharon reiterates demand that Palestinians give up right of return
Israeli PM Sharon reiterated his demand that the Palestinians renounce their right of return to their homes and lands in return for Israel adopting the "road map". According to the article,...Sharon told Israel Radio the renunciation by Palestinians "is something Israel insists on and sees it as a condition for continuing the process."Exactly which "process" Sharon was referring to remains unclear. A Ha'aretz article here also reports this and states that Israel will shortly discuss its reservations on the "road map" with the US.
In fact, though, this demand, and in conjunction with the "road map", is nothing new: Sharon made similar statements in February and April.
